The story behind the canvas
The story of Painttipsy Art and Entertainment Services, LLC is one of passion, perseverance, and a little creative inspiration born from a global challenge. While the company was established in 2018 by artist and graphic designer Leemax Starrade, it was the arrival of the 2020 pandemic that truly shaped its purpose.

Like many in the creative industry, Leemax experienced the uncertainty of unstable employment. As he bounced between part-time gigs, he fought to keep his lifelong passion for art alive. But it was a pivotal conversation with a family member that changed everything. They saw beyond the struggle and recognized the untapped potential in Leemax’s love for both painting and entertaining. Why not combine them?

With this idea, Painttipsy was born. It wasn't just a business venture it was an opportunity to provide for his family and create a service that could bring light and laughter into people’s lives during a dark and isolating time. Painttipsy offers a unique escape from the usual bar and party scene, providing a fun and engaging creative outlet for date nights, group events, and special celebrations.

More than just a sip-and-paint
Painttipsy goes beyond simply hosting events; it is a vehicle for joy, connection, and self-expression. We are a mobile service that brings all the supplies, instruction, and good vibes directly to our clients. For Leemax, it's about sharing the therapeutic power of art—a gift that has been a stress reliever for him since he was a boy, filling notebooks with doodles.

Our mission is to educate while being entertaining, promoting fun and inspiration. We encourage everyone to freely express themselves, regardless of skill level. As Leemax often says, "Art is a way of communication, a way of life that I have lived my whole life".

Meet Artist Orlando

Founder of Painttipsy Art and Entertainment Services, LLC

Art has always been more than just a hobby for me it’s been my therapy, my refuge, and my voice. Throughout life’s challenges, art has provided me with peace, grounding me and helping me manage stress. I’ve always believed that health and art go hand in hand, working together to heal and empower.

I started drawing and painting as a child growing up in Jamaica. Life wasn’t easy we faced poverty and hardship, but art became my escape. It gave me a way to dream beyond my circumstances and express myself freely. My mother, a phenomenal woman and a single parent, worked tirelessly to keep food on the table. Her strength and resilience inspired me every day.

By the time I reached high school, I realized that being an artist could be more than just a passion it could be a purpose. I began creating community art projects to raise money for school and sometimes to help my mother with bills. People in the community began to recognize my work, often telling me I had talent and that if I kept going, I’d make my mother proud. That encouragement lit a fire in me that still burns today.

I consider myself a mixed-media artist. I love blending old-school techniques with modern styles, always exploring new mediums and pushing creative boundaries. From landscapes and seascapes inspired by the coastal rhythms of my childhood coconut trees swaying in the wind, waves crashing against the shore to more abstract and expressive pieces, my work reflects my journey and unique perspective.

As a child, I would sketch endlessly sometimes in the blank pages of my mother’s books or school study guides using pencil crayons and watercolors. That curiosity and passion have never left me. “It’s essential for everyone to express themselves freely.”
I believe people should feel empowered to use any medium to convey their truth.

Creating art brings me deep joy. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles of people who connect with my work. I’ve spent years owning my craft teaching, mentoring, and giving back to my community through art. It’s not about how detailed your piece is it’s about the emotion it carries. Art is a language of feeling, and I strive to create pieces that speak to the soul.
